Laboratory Scientist - Virology & Preclinical Research

Location: On-site (U.S.-based)

Role Overview:

As a Laboratory Scientist, you will play a key role in conducting hands-on experimental work in support of HHV-related research projects. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and analyzing virology and molecular biology experiments, and contributing to the technical execution of projects that support our pharmaceutical and biotech partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and perform experiments involving viral isolation, propagation, gene editing, and infection modeling
  • Maintain and troubleshoot cell culture systems for virus-host studies
  • Execute assays including qPCR, ELISA, Western blotting, and viral titration
  • Manage lab resources, document protocols, and ensure regulatory compliance (e.g., biosafety)
  • Collaborate with project managers and senior scientists to meet project timelines and technical goals

Qualifications:

  • M.S. or Ph.D. in Virology, Molecular Biology, or related life sciences field
  • Hands-on experience with herpesvirus research is a strong plus
  • Proficiency in aseptic technique, molecular assays, and viral quantification methods
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced research environment

Project Manager - HHV-Focused Preclinical Solutions

Location: On-site (U.S.-based)

Role Overview:

As a Project Manager at CD BioSciences, you will be the primary liaison between our scientific teams and clients. You'll oversee the full project lifecycle — from solution design to final data delivery — ensuring that each client receives tailored, high-quality support for their HHV-related research goals. This role is ideal for candidates with both scientific understanding and client communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the point of contact for clients, understanding their technical needs and objectives
  • Translate client requirements into internal project plans and experimental strategies
  • Coordinate with lab scientists, regulatory specialists, and QA personnel to manage timelines and resources
  • Monitor project progress, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and ensure timely delivery of data and reports
  • Support proposal development, project scoping, and technical documentation for external communication

Qualifications:

  • M.S. or Ph.D. in life sciences, virology, or biotechnology-related discipline
  • 2+ years of experience in project management within a CRO, biotech, or research setting
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and written communication skills
  • Experience managing client expectations and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams
  • PMP certification is a plus, but not required
